The reverse shows an encircled portcullis with chains
either side. Above is a crown, to either side are the
words 'THREE' and 'PENCE', and below is the date.
Elizabeth II presided over much change and
development in the western world in the longest
reign by any English monarch, at over 70 years.
Elizabeth II passed away in September 2022,
succeeded by her eldest son, King Charles III.
